ACT and SAT Information:

The ACT, SAT, and SAT Subject Tests are used by colleges to assess academic readiness for college.  Deciding on which test(s) to take depends on the college you are applying to for acceptance.  The most common is the ACT. Use the links below to get more information about the tests and college readiness.

  • Please see Mrs. Luxhoj for a fee waiver if you qualify for free/reduced lunch (11th and 12th grade only)
  • All Juniors and Seniors will take the ACT at Thomas Jefferson in March for free

ACT Kaplan Online Prep Live
Offers students all the benefits of ACT online prep, plus an interactive teaching experience from Kaplan Test Prep including engaging instructions, live learning, archived sessions on-demand for reviewing, and real questions and sample materials from previous ACT tests. It is available for free to students who register for a national test date with a fee waiver. For more information click HERE. 

Jefferson Parish Public Libraries Westbank & Eastbank
Offers test preparation for ACT and SAT that can help you succeed. Choose between classroom and online courses, or work with a private tutor. FREE ACT PRACTICE TESTS are often offered by the Jefferson Parish Library system. High school students are invited to take the test and receive detailed feedback on their performance, including an analysis of their strengths and weaknesses and a follow-up strategy session, helping adjust preparation accordingly.
